In
August 2008, Hillcrest Baptist Church called Tim Day to serve as
pastor. Tim and Vicky moved into the parsonage and Bro. Day preached
his first sermon as pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church on August 10,
2008.
Pastor Day's Training
Bro.
Day surrendered to the preach the gospel in February 1978 while he was
a student at Northern Kentucky University. He received a B.S. in
Accounting in May 1978.
In order to
prepare for the work of the ministry, Bro. Day enrolled in Temple
Baptist College, Cincinnati, Ohio, in the fall of 1978. In the summer
of 1982, he earned his Master of Divinity degree.
Bro.
Day began teaching at Temple Baptist College while working on a Doctor
of Theology Degree. He taught business courses economics and
accounting classes. He taught first and second year New Testament
Greek for five years.
In 1993 Bro. Day was awarded the Doctor of Theology Degree from Temple Baptist Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Pastor's Day's Pastoral Experience
From
1983 to 1988 Bro. Day served as Assistant Pastor of Addyston Baptist
Church in Addyston, Ohio. He worked closely with Pastor Rex Hensley
and benefited greatly from this "on the job" training.
From 1988 to 1993 Bro. Day served as pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Milan, Indiana.
From 1997 to 2008 Bro. Day served as pastor of Buffalo Baptist Church in Buffalo, West Virginia.
Vicky Day Tim
and Vicky were married on May 8, 1976 in Covington, Kentucky. For over
thirty-two years Vicky has been a faithful companion and ministry
